Enlightenment

It is better to be a human being dissatisfied than a pig satisfied; better to be Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied. And if the fool, or the pig, is of a different opinion, it is because they only know their own side of the question. The other party to the comparison knows both sides.

I think one of the top priorities in one’s life should be Enlightenment. Yes it’s not going to be easy, because the very people teaching us enlightenment are in dire need of it. Enlightenment very broadly means transcending from one’s self imposed immaturity. Now usually in this day and age maturity is synonymous with AGE. In this day and age people are usually looking for the older opposite gender not because of money... well maybe because of money… but truly for maturity right?

I’ve gotten titles like psycho, narcissist, sentimental writer, all in good fun, but what does that truly mean? I just don’t settle for anything that’s lying on the floor around the corner. Happiness is more than just being in Love for the short term, it’s that feeling you get that’s so strong that lasts a life time. Like the first summer rain, every day when the sunlight touches you giving hope and courage that yes every night has a dawn. For a person who has been in captivity all his life a day of freedom is more than enough to make him accept death willingly rather than going back. Ego, is what limits a person they say, it has liberated me every step of my life. You had one of the best, talented, good looking, and intellectual and then you’d settle for well something “nice”. The best thing in life I believe is change, or the uncertainty that keeps you on your toes. What makes love eternal? It’s the new things you learn everyday from your special one. That freshness that will last forever, never will there be a dull moment, every conversation live packed with adrenalin, whether romance or a fight, it’s something you look forward to.

The point to all this? Well there is always a point, as human beings you need to transcend to a level beyond the expectations of others, and set standards for others to benchmark you. Don’t just move towards greener pastures, grow your own. Life is what too short to be wasting time with mediocrity.
