Biocenosis

We usually tend to look for big signs; we expect the mystery of life to be communicated in grandeur. And it’s because of this expectation we miss out the subtle signs which describe the magnificence yet simplicity of the gifts life has to offer.

1) Timing: the seasons teach us that there is a time for everything, what goes around, comes around, it teaches us patients. The good things in life come from self discovery, meditation and contemplation with time and not like instant coffee.

2) Humility: the trees shed their leaves every autumn only to gain their supremacy back in spring, every fall has a rise, there is nothing that you cannot come back from, staying humble to your roots may not get you to the top quickly but it will when the time is right.

3) There is peace in chaos: reconnect with nature through your five senses and you will realize its contradictions it's simple and complicated, orderly and messy, quiet and busy. And once you can associate with this, you harness an internal force that helps you achieve peace in the midst of chaos. This happens when you realize your world is bigger than just your problems.

Watching the darkness of the night transform into light injects a burst of hope to get up every morning. We tend to limit our lives with fear, anger, ill health basically self imposed barriers. The leaf transforms the invisible energy of the sun to nourish itself; you can use this invisible energy to turn around your life as well.

20 More to go……

A dreamer is one who can only find his way by moonlight, and his punishment is that he sees the dawn before the rest of the world.
Oscar Wilde

Experiences in life are supposed to make life easier. But in reality they don’t, every REPEATED action becomes tougher; the tests get tougher to pass. I always did take pride in the fact that I’ve never felt the need to spread my hands in front of anyone or compromise on the one thing no one can take from you, only you can give away is your DIGNITY.

There comes a time in life when you feel that all that you strive to be is an utter lie, your self- respect is all you have, the ability to be beaten up, abused by the power of the almighty. His biggest blessing to you is the ability to look at yourself in the mirror and still be arrogant. The pace, at which the blood rushes in my veins, sends life into this blur of oblivion, where in retrospect things are much clearer.

Imagine living the same pain, agony, the nightmares and all the harsh realities for another 20 times… most people will never understand this, why? Cause what’s a little compromise on dignity, what if you shed the veil of decency to let go of all you stand for. I’ve done it before I’ll do it again, alone.

How can a woman be expected to be happy with a man who insists on treating her as if she were a perfectly normal human being.

Blood and Chocolate

"Never try to teach a pig to sing; it wastes your time and it annoys the pig."
— Paul Dickson

If you don’t know where you’re going any road will take you there. That’s the attitude most of us will take in our lives. In this day and age it’s hard to differentiate between shit and the good stuff. Most of you will live your life on daddy’s money, get married with his money and get a job either with his contacts or the money he invested in your education. You will never be able to develop a spine that will cripple you and generations after you …this is called slave mentality.

I saw this man today, who was stupid really... he lay down in a bed, in a room with no electricity. His clothes drenched with sweat, his body lifeless surrounded with an aura of death and depression. Stupid man had an Rs.1200 wallet with just Rs.300 in it. An empty bottle of water and skittles. A person in such a position should be humble in prayer and not in the arrogance of a God. In that moment of despair his head was high, his eyes was that of a man drugged and tubes jutted out of him like Frankenstein part 2, yet his grip in the handshake was empowering. The fight continues, day 2 of deficiencies…

A dead atheist is someone who is all dressed up with no place to go.

To Pray or not to Pray

Of all the days that are in the week, I dearly love but one day, and that's the day that comes betwixt A Saturday and Monday.

Praying to many is a very scared means of communication with the Almighty. How we, use this time thus becomes highly important. I wouldn’t really call myself a pious person, but everything has its place and time and so does God. How much can you really wander in an hour?

Sitting in the last bench at the presbytery house mass, you notice quite a lot going on and it’s disturbing. Firstly a family of a mother and two daughters walk in; the mother and one daughter proceed inside while the other grabs a seat outside placing her handbag on the adjacent seat as a reservation. Prayer proceedings start the church fills up, and old man with a walker asks the girl, “Is this seat taken” the girl feeling guilty hesitantly picked up the purse and let the man sit, behind enters the boyfriend, who isn’t going to get to sit with his girlfriend, tonight there is going to be trouble in paradise.

Then a cute thug couple walk in with their puppy, I mean it just got me thinking did they walk out of their house to come to pray or walk their dog, I mean common seriously, the guy first will thoroughly and quite viciously wipe both so that the little clothes they have on don’t get stained . All guys talking to their girls, guys talking to guys about the girls they want. The prayer proceedings’ enters its last phase (approximately 12 more minutes to go).

Now walking in the most distracted and childish trio I’ve ever come across let’s call them Guitar chords Gaug, Em and Cmaj. They walk in, and find a quite place in a corner, where they can resume some ludicrous conversation about the most absurd and insignificant topic in the world. At the end of the prayers everyone is going to see them, assuming they were here from the beginning. No one will ever know how their time was spent in their car, listening to music (presumably good music) and smoking. These are the people that will take forward the generation and impart their knowledge (which may exists) and values to kill for. These people are aptly given the title “cream of the community”. I fail to understand which coffee their going to lighten up, but hey, as long as you drove up in your fancy car or bike, and you’re dressed up as if it’s your own parents wedding, you will be accepted. When praying is just a ritual to fulfill your bare minimum duties, it’s the beginning of your end.

Our love for another person makes us blind to our own selfish desires and egotistical tendencies. The spiritual path is no different. It is the love of our master or guide that allows us to embark on the path of selfless service. If this love is taken away, we will be faced with our own ego's false piety and pride in the service we may do for others.
